What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Platform Engineer or an infrastructure enthusiastic backend engineer, one that has a strong passion for building next generation infrastructure at a high scale while using the latest technology.

As a Platform Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining various mission-critical systems.

Here at Frontegg, we are constantly building new infrastructure while scaling out our existing infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies to meet and exceed our scaling demands.

Responsibilities:

Work with the latest and greatest technologies like Kubernetes, Crossplane, ArgoCD, Helm, Kafka, VictoriaMetrics, MongoDB and more.

Manage our Cloud-native production deployments (SaaS) running on Kubernetes in AWS.

Design and develop tools for managing and applying Platform principles, such as CI/CD automation and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) on our Cloud-based production systems.

Work with the team to enhance production stability, availability, and reliability (SRE) using Otel, Coralogix, Grafana.

Design and manage different monitoring and observability tools for troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

Requirements:

If you are a backend engineer:

Experience in Docker, CI/CD, Design Patterns, Dynamic or static languages like Python, Go, JavaScript, C#, Java etc.

Solid principals, Multi-threaded, Internal tools and CLI applications - An advantage

For platform engineers Desired Skills and Experience

Relevant Platform work experience in Production environments.

Knowledge and experience with scripting languages like Python and Shell (Bash)

A deep understanding and familiarity with:

Networking: K8S ingress, Services, and Load Balancers

Web/Application servers: Nginx, NodeJs (advantage).

Additional programming languages like NodeJS, Python, C#, Java - An advantage

Knowledge of the following: Build tools, CI servers (GitHub actions, Gitlab, etc.)- A great advantage

Experience with Containers and Kubernetes - An advantage

Experience with public clouds (AWS) - A great advantage

Experience with ArgoCD or Flux - A great advantage
